I'm Off! But then, we knew that...

Woohoo! The time is finally here, and I can honestly say that I am relieved. I sincererely dislike waiting for things to occur, having to pack for eventualities that may not eventually occur, and saying goodbye to people. I have the hardest time with the goodbyes. However, that is all over with, I am in the airport in KC, waiting for our plane to land (hopefully this will happen sometime soon as we are suppose to board in the next half hour) and trying not to fall asleep.

My plans are thus : At 10:45 am I will hit Dallas, and then around 1:50 I will land in Houston. Then I will be picked up (along with some other interns) by a driver. We will be taken to the hotel where I have an amazingly long afternoon to hopefully work out/swim and relax before I run into some interns at some point this evening. Then the orientation week begins!!

On a side note, I just realized how much time I have spent in airports in the past year. I met an older couple this morning and they were confused about which line to que (sp?) in and how to check in on the electronic terminals. They looked a little intimidated and the older guy said "we just don't do this too often" and so I tried to assist them in heading in the correct direction. I realized though, that the excitement/stress of traveling has disappeared at this point. Well, except for the random fear that I have a liquid over 3 oz, or something that could be viewed as a weapon, in my bookbag. The sadness of getting older. :(

Flight is landing!
Later.
